Baby Belly Debut for Paz Vega!

Andy Fossum/Startraks

Now firmly in her second trimester, Paz Vega — who recently confirmed her rumored pregnancy — made the most of her growing belly at the 17th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.

Already four months along, Spanglish star Paz, 33, says it was morning sickness that kept her down (and quiet!) during her first trimester. “I’m doing really well. The upsets from the first months have passed — a couple of months that were really hard — and now, to enjoy!” she says.

The new baby, due in August, will join big brother Orson, 21 months.

Little People Turns 50!

My Little People houses and castle were among my most treasured toys so I’m excited that they are celebrating their 50th birthday this year! In January, Fisher-Price introduced four commemorative sets that will bring you back to your childhood: Play ‘n Go Farm, Play ‘n Go School, Play ‘n Go Fire Station (available exclusively at Toys R Us) and Play ‘n Go Home (available exclusively at Target). The sets retail for $14-18.

All include a collectible take-along storage tin that holds the retro-styled figures. You can purchase additional sets of retro figures for $7. I’m crossing my fingers that they’ll reintroduce my beloved Castle that my mother donated to a nursery school without asking me that is now available on eBay for $200!

Fisher-Price also introduced four new modern playsets- check out our review. For a real trip down memory lane, visit This Old Toy’s guide to the original Little People.

Hugh Jackman: Adopting Mixed-Race Children Was a 'No-Brainer'

Daniel/Cesar/INF

While many couples pursuing adoption focus their efforts on children of the same race, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness blazed a different trail when adopting 8 ½-year-old Oscar Maximillian in 2000. It was no accident; In Barbara Walter‘s Annual Oscar Special the 40-year-old actor reveals that Oscar and his 3 ½-year-old sister Ava Eliot were both the result of a “deliberate” decision by the couple to adopt mixed-race children.

“When we went first to talk to someone in Los Angeles about adoption, I remember they said, ‘What do you want?’” Hugh revealed. “I said, ‘Well, healthy would be good.’” The official then pointed out that Hugh and Deborra had selected mixed-race on their questionnaire. Recalled Hugh,

“He said, ‘Now, listen. Please don’t, please don’t just tick that because you think it’s the right thing to tick.’ And he said to me, ‘We turn away children every month who are mixed race, because we can’t find families for them.’”

His answer “didn’t make sense” to the couple, who considered their decision a “no-brainer.” Adds Hugh,

“It was like, where’s the need? The need was obviously mixed race children. And that was it.”

Tim Allen and His Oscar Date

Andy Fossum/Startraks

It’s date night! Tim Allen and expectant wife Jane Hajduk pose as they arrive at the 17th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, held Sunday at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.

Tim and Jane, 42, will welcome a baby girl this spring, Tim recently told us exclusively.

The actor, 55, is already father to daughter Katherine, 19, from his prior marriage to Laura Deibel, and says that — despite portraying one of television’s most revered dads on Home Improvement — he has no hidden advantage in the parenting department. “I don’t think I have it down,” he admits. “I don’t think I have it down at all!”

“I have one neighbor, oddly enough, [and] his wife is pregnant, too. And he looks at me and goes, ‘I can get a lot of advice from you.’ I’m like, ‘No, no. don’t think that way. No, don’t come to me.’ The older you get, the less you know.”

Who else is due this spring? We recently updated our Who’s Due Next gallery – find out!
