Melissa Borell's Pop-Out Pendants

02/25/2009 at 11:00 AM ET

We don’t normally cover regular mom jewelry but I was so blown away by Melissa Borells unique naturalistic yet ultra-contemporary Pop-Out Jewelry that I wanted to share. The line consists of about a dozen designs that come still attached to the metal that it is cut from. Pop out the shape and thread the included 18″ sterling silver chain through it. Choose from different fabrications like stainless steel, powder-coated red, black and 18K gold plate. My favorite pieces are the Garden Pop-Out Pendant ($36) and the Seeds Pop-Out Earrings and Pendant Set ($56).

I’m kinda offended by your choice of words when you said, “We don’t normally cover regular mom jewelry” as if they aren’t good enough for you.

We think there’s been a misunderstanding. That sentence is in reference to the fact that Fashion & Gear doesn’t normally cover non-baby/child related adult products, but Danielle liked the necklaces so much, she posted about them.

If you click here, you can see there’s been only three adult product reviews ––gear—cool-stuff-for-adults/

Why would “regular moms” buy jewelry that creates work for them? Aren’t we trying to save our time here?

i like that design, very pretty. lisa – your comment left me confused (unless you were joking in which case i apologize)popping out the charm and sticking a chain through it doesn’t require a lot of time (or effort for that matter).

I really like the necklace and I thought that it was very fitting for this website, because I thought that it looked like a PLACENTA….’the tree of life’…. and was wondering where I could find one~***

Good gracious ya’ll. Calm down. It’s not like she said, “Melt it yourself metal pop out necklace for low-class moms”. Talk about reading too much into something. It’s quite a pretty necklace and it shouldn’t require a Master’s Degree to figure out that all Danielle was saying is that she doesn’t normally post non-baby/child related items.

Im not sure how people get through day to day life if they are offended by such small things as this (which btw was not offensive or rude at all)!!

Sheesh…sometimes this can become such a hormone riddled website. Why do people insist on making a mountain out of a mole hill? What is happening to society today?

Just seems pointless ladies. Calm yourselves.
