Leaving a Beverly Hills birthday party on Sunday, Joel Madden was snapped carrying daughter Harlow Winter Kate — all dressed up in a blue jumper and hair clip — back to the car.

Earlier that day, the Good Charlotte rocker, 29, announced that 13-month-old Harlow will become a big sister later this year — he and partner Nicole Richie are expecting their second child!

Although no due date was announced, we think it’ll be a late summer/early fall arrival if Nicole is just out of her first trimester.

I kinda like that this big tough tattooed guy dresses his little girl up in frilly dresses. It may be a cliche, but it doesn’t make it any less true that tough guys can make the gentlest daddies.

I’m curious as to why you guys (CBB) think Nicole is due in the early fall? Usually people announce their pregnancies once they’re out of the first trimester. So going by that, she’d be due around… August. That’s more like late Summer, no?

Definitely late summer if she’s more than 13 weeks right now. If she’s 12/13 weeks now, she’ll be due in early September. We can change the post to make it clearer!

Yes she is definitely all Joel. I wonder when she grows if she’ll start showing any of Nicole’s looks.

Baby Harlow is so pretty she makes my ovaries ache.Hard to believe she’s about to be a big sister.I don’t know what it is,perhaps just her expression but there’s something from Nicole in that little face.

Funny I think she looks LESS like Joel than usual, I guess because when right next to him I notice all the slight Nicole tinges…slighlty more golden brown skin and hair, eye shape larger than daddy, nose less fine…of course I don’t know what Joel looked like as a baby though…

This is one of those pictures where I think Harlow favors her daddy a lot more. I didn’t notice it as much before since I thought she looked more like Nicole. She definitely has her mommy’s tannish coloring, I think. I can SO definitely see Joel’s “droopy” eyes on her! Beautiful blend of both parents.

I might get criticized for saying this, but when Nicole and Joel announced their first pregnancy, I cringed a little bit. Their lifestyle was so “wild and free” that I had trouble picturing them with a baby. Please don’t misunderstand, I don’t know this couple personally at all. I only know what I see in the media, just like everybody else. The way that they have turned their lives around have impressed me so much! Nicole and Joel dote on Harlow the way that any new Mommy and Daddy would and it has been such a joy to get to see them on occasion with their precious daughter. I was thrilled to hear that they are expecting baby number two. Congratulations, Joel, Nicole and Harlow!
