SwaddleDesigns Cashmere Baby Blanket: The Baby Won't Notice If I Steal It, Will He?

SwaddleDesigns, makers of the indispensible Ultimate Receiving Blanket has just launched an absolutely beautiful 100% cashmere baby blanket ($200). It’s large — one yard square — and buttery soft and the color we have, the green with ivory trim, is just gorgeous. We’re using it for chilly nighttime feedings and long, winter sessions with Pat the Bunny and Goodnight Moon. It’s indescribably soft, naturally hypoallergenic and washable. This is the kind of luxury item that should be on everyone’s shower registry, just in case a benevolent friend (or group of friends) wants to spring for something special.

Celeb fans of SwaddleDesigns blankets include Tori Spelling (whose kids Liam and Stella have been seen out with the Pastel Pink Stroller Blanket), Gwyneth Paltrow, Marcia Cross and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (who has been see clutching the Pastel Pink Fuzzy Baby Lovie).

Anybody else think there’s something a little crazy about a $200.00 baby blanket?

My mother-in-the-law is not crazy, she is a generous and loving lady. She bought this blanket for my daughter. I can tell you this cashmere blanket is the softest cashmere I have ever touched. We will treasure this special blanket forever.

If you have the money and can afford it, spend it. But with the troubling economy we’re living with, wouldn’t it be nice if CBB would also feature items that are more affordable? Correct me if I’m wrong, but lately I’ve only seen high-end products on this site.

And “something about baby”, how about buying some ad space instead of blatantly feature your boutique in the comment section?
