The moms new makeover brings back memories. When my son was 7 months old I got a new hairstyle. My hair had been so long, Just above my waist. I was tired of the long hair so I went in and chopped it off had it layered Above my sholders. When nursing my son he would always hang on to a huge chunk of my hair. Well there was no hair to hang on. He was frantically looking for my hair and broke down in such hysterics. He cried so hard hyperventilating and looking at me like I was an alien. For weeks he looked for that chuck of hair that I ended up having to hold my head down in order for him to have a “few” strands.
Another time I was 7 months pregnant and had hyperemesis gravidarum. Inbetween hospitalizations I would try to get to my childrens games. Everyone would tell me how awful (I did look awful but I did not want to be told that) I looked So I called my hairdresser and with the permission from my docs I went in to get my hair done. (My hair dresser did my hair when the shop was closed so I could vomit in somewhat peace. At no extra charge!) But I also made the mistake that he could do whatever he wanted too. And with that he did. I was a 38 year old with red hair like Marcia Cross and bangs like the color of Courtney Love. It was soooo horible. I asked for it. And from that point on Nobody ever said I looked sick again. They kept their mouths shut. But our third child who was 4 hated it and always told me “He wanted his old mommy back” After the birth of our daughter, the 6 week mark, I went to my normal color again!!! The only person in our house who liked my hair was our 13 year old daughter at the time She thought I looked “hip for a pregnant lady” And of course my mom always had nice things to say. She had to she’s my mom! My husband never said he didnt like it nor did he say he did. It was if he pleaded the 5th

Congrats to Salma Hayek and Francois marrying. I’m glad it worked out for them Their daughter Valentina is adorable. I hope we see more children from them. Perhaps we’ll hear a pregnancy announcement in the next couple of months?

I was a little surprised to hear that Salma and Francios had gotten married, mainly because they never announced a re-engagment (and Salma recently confirmed that they DID indeed end their orginal one). Then again, maybe they wanted to keep things quiet, so they just got re-engaged privately?
