Peter Facinelli Says 'Debate' Over Fourth Baby is Ongoing

Jennie Garth has hinted that she’s not finished having kids…and in a new interview her husband Peter Facinelli says “never say never!” Noting that “Jennie tends to get her way,” the 35-year-old actor reveals that all the baby talk remains “a debate” in the couple’s home. Together, Peter and Jennie are already parents to Luca Bella, 11 ½, Lola Ray, 6, and Fiona Eve, 2, and Peter says his heart might not be able to take a fourth child.

“When you’re a father, it’s extremely painful because every time they go out of the house, you worry about them. I can’t imagine having to worry about one more person because I am already worried enough.”

Jennie “wants a boy” but Peter says that, for him, the sex of the baby “doesn’t matter.” While the Twilight star admits he at first longed for a son, since welcoming his three daughters Peter’s mindset has changed. “I have three little girls and one big girl,” he joked. “I have been surrounded by women my whole life…Yeah, there is a lot of estrogen in the house, but I enjoy it.”

A self-proclaimed ”family guy” who would rather stay home with the kids than attend movie premieres, Peter’s comfort zone has been tested recently as shoots Nurse Jackie in New York while the girls remain in California with Jennie. He adds,

“I try not to go more than ten days without seeing my kids. I flew back last week. And I’ll fly back again this week… I’m flying a lot, [but] they are worth it.”

That bi-coastal lifestyle means that Peter — who serves as Luca’s soccer coach – has had to re-define his role around the house, albeit temporarily.”I like being a big part of my daughters’ lives,” he says. “As long as you’re involved in their life, it’s the quality overall…When we’re at home, it’s about family.”

I don’t think Peter should be forced to continually be asked to have more kids, especially when he’s not all for having more. It has happened too many times where the woman will go around saying “please, please, one more kid” or go on and on like Jennie is about not being done having kids, and then she gets pregnant, either accidently or intentionally, and the guy is like “I’m outta here.” So yeah, Jennie would be wise to tread carefully and listen to her husband. After all Peter could simply go to his urologist and get a vasectomy with or without her knowledge, yeah.

DLR-I heard if your married your wife has to sign also. Plus, I think going behind your wifes back to get a vasectomy is just bad as a woman that tricks a pregnacy on a man, by skipping their birth control.

Eh, their youngest is only 2. Their girls are spaced out a bit more than 3 years, so they may not be at the end.

If peter doesn’t want anymore kids, I think jennie should respect that and be thankfully for the 3 kids they have. I remember hearing peter say ideally he wanted 2 kids, but jennie wanted 3, so he was for that. But maybe he is not feeling 4 kids. It seems she is always talking about a 4th child, and he doesn’t seem interested. Plus there’s no guarantee baby # 4 would be a son.

Do women have to get permission from their husbands to have their tubes tied? I’m curious if men really need permission to control their bodies as stated above and if so, do women have the same lack of control?

We all have dreams of what we want for life. If Peter wants to stop at three and Jennie wants four then it’ll come down to who wants it more and who is willing to compromise? That’s what good marriages are about and they seem to have a good marriage.

I don’t know if it varies state to state but in NY I had to sign my “permission” for my husband to get a vasectomy. I thought that was a little weird.
