Jennie Garth has hinted that she’s not finished having kids…and in a new interview her husband Peter Facinelli says “never say never!” Noting that “Jennie tends to get her way,” the 35-year-old actor reveals that all the baby talk remains “a debate” in the couple’s home. Together, Peter and Jennie are already parents to Luca Bella, 11 ½, Lola Ray, 6, and Fiona Eve, 2, and Peter says his heart might not be able to take a fourth child.
“When you’re a father, it’s extremely painful because every time they go out of the house, you worry about them. I can’t imagine having to worry about one more person because I am already worried enough.”
Jennie “wants a boy” but Peter says that, for him, the sex of the baby “doesn’t matter.” While the Twilight star admits he at first longed for a son, since welcoming his three daughters Peter’s mindset has changed. “I have three little girls and one big girl,” he joked. “I have been surrounded by women my whole life…Yeah, there is a lot of estrogen in the house, but I enjoy it.”
A self-proclaimed “family guy” who would rather stay home with the kids than attend movie premieres, Peter’s comfort zone has been tested recently as shoots Nurse Jackie in New York while the girls remain in California with Jennie. He adds,
“I try not to go more than ten days without seeing my kids. I flew back last week. And I’ll fly back again this week… I’m flying a lot, [but] they are worth it.”
That bi-coastal lifestyle means that Peter — who serves as Luca’s soccer coach — has had to re-define his role around the house, albeit temporarily.”I like being a big part of my daughters’ lives,” he says. “As long as you’re involved in their life, it’s the quality overall…When we’re at home, it’s about family.”
