Graeme Hawley to Add to Baby Boom on Set of UK Soap

“There’s definitely something in the water” on the set of Coronation Street, says Graeme Hawley. The 35-year-old actor revealed last week that he and wife Elianne are expecting their first child together in June, becoming the ninth couple associated with the UK soap opera to share such happy news over the last year. “I heard they’d been placing bets on who would be the next to announce a pregnancy on Corrie, so I missed a trick really,” Graeme jokes. “The crèche will be bigger than the set at this rate!”
“Elianne is 19 weeks now and she’s been doing ever so well. We’re delighted.”
Other Corrie stars recently welcoming babies or announcing pregnancies include Tina O’Brien and Ryan Thomas, whose daughter Scarlett Jacqueline arrived in October, Andy Whyment, who welcomed son Thomas in October, Jack P. Shepherd, who is set to be a new dad when girlfriend Lauren Shippey delivers, Alison King, who is due to give birth to her first child in February, Wanda Opalinska, who expects a baby this winter, Jane Danson, currently expecting her second child, and Kym Marsh, who expects her third child this summer.
