Everyone here posts on how cute the celebrity $300 outfits are for their kids that they will outgrow in a few months. What’s the difference if they have loads of gifts at a once a year birthday party?

I think the idea is a good one too, but wouldn’t subject my child to advertising either. I think they get the deals and sponsors because they are in front of the camera and will give the advertisers good publicity. That’s the logical explanation.

If someone wants to use my child as a billboard for Gap or Ralph Lauren, they can pay me for the rental space.

Was the stuff in those bags worth it? Parents are supposed to protect their kids from advertising, but to make the kid herself an advertisement is pretty unthinkable to me. I won’t even put a Gap shirt on my kid. My child is no one’s tool.
