True in Wonderland: True Fisher-Duddy Celebrates Her Third Birthday

Joely Fisher celebrated her daughter True Fisher-Duddy‘s third birthday on Saturday at an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea party sponsored by Sugar, Sprinkles and Banana Split. True’s guests (including mom’s friends Kevin Nealon and Brad Garrett and their kids) painted tea cups and made hats with The Rad Hatter. In addition to the gorgeous cake by Cake Divas, the kids were treated to a Baskin-Robbins sundae bar and goodie bags that featured Crayola crayons and markers.

They are all so cute!! And that cake is BEAUTIFUL. I also can’t help but notice, as the snow is falling heavily outside my window, that the girls are all dressed in summer clothes. I don’t know where they are, but I am jealous.

They are in ‘somewhere, CA’ lol I am assuming L.A. since I live in L.A. and during the day is warm and sunny, at night and early in the morning can be a little cold.

Beautiful girls! Looks like a fun party. Makes me sad that my “little one” is turning 12 in a couple of months, and feels like he has outgrown theme parties like this.

As soon as I saw those three gorgeous girls, I thought Skylar looked liked Frances Bean Cobain, and True is the third Fanning sister. And little Olivia….what a little heartbreaker in the making! She is a really stunning little girl, they all are! Such a beautiful family. And how cute is it that True is holding Olivia’s hand? A special day .

Why would anyone allow a sponsor at their child’s birthday party? Was the stuff in those bags worth it? Parents are supposed to protect their kids from advertising, but to make the kid herself an advertisement is pretty unthinkable to me. I won’t even put a Gap shirt on my kid. My child is no one’s tool.

Have you seen how many presents there are in the background of the first photo? I probably had that many presents for all of my Christmas and birthdays during my childhood combined.

Why are you complaining? Everyone here posts on how cute the celebrity $300 outfits are for their kids that they will outgrow in a few months. What’s the difference if they have loads of gifts at a once a year birthday party?

I think the idea is a good one too, but wouldn’t subject my child to advertising either. I think they get the deals and sponsors because they are in front of the camera and will give the advertisers good publicity. That’s the logical explanation.

If someone wants to use my child as a billboard for Gap or Ralph Lauren, they can pay me for the rental space.
