Naveen Andrews Wins Legal, Physical Custody of Son

Lost star Naveen Andrews was awarded sole legal and physical custody of his 3-year-old son Naveen Joshua on Wednesday, when a Los Angeles Superior Court judge rejected allegations of wrongdoing levied by the boy’s mom, Elena Eustache. Per the terms of the order, Naveen Joshua will be free to travel to and from Hawaii — where the 39-year-old actor shoots the television hit show — with either Naveen or his longtime girlfriend, actress Barbara Hershey.

Naveen sought the hearing to address a trip Elena took with Naveen Joshua outside of Los Angeles County, without his permission. He also claimed that Elena kept Naveen Joshua from him in violation of a previous custody agreement. In response, Elena argued that Barbara engages in witchcraft and that together the couple had attempted to poison her son; An attorney for Naveen requested the court to order a psychiatric evaluation of Elena.

The new custody agreement will remain in place pending a hearing next month. TMZ reports that Naveen Joshua — who arrived at the court with his mom — was removed from her care by a bailiff, and left the building with his father and Barbara.

Alison Sweeney Not Ready for Daughter's Arrival

Expectant mom Alison Sweeney better get a move on if she wants to be ready for her daughter‘s expected arrival date of January 20th. The Biggest Loser host recently blogged that between “production schedules and then the holiday rush, I seriously haven’t even bought diapers yet.”

Alison has yet to pack her bags for the hospital either, despite her doctor having “a firm conversation with me about how second children very frequently come quicker and earlier than first.” Even though the actress’ 3 ½-year-old son Benjamin Edward arrived on his due date, Alison is trying to take her doctor’s advice and prepare herself for her daughter’s possible early arrival.

“But even with nine months to think about it, (she’s kicking me right now as if to say ‘Yup! I’m coming, Mom!’) it isn’t really real to me yet. Ben seems way better prepared for his baby sister than Dave [Sanov] and I are … Is that normal?!”

Readers can catch Alison on The Biggest Loser on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC. This season began filming in September so viewers will be able to catch Alison “growing over the next few months,” the soap star notes.

Liev Schreiber: 'There's Something to Be Said for Silliness'

It’s not all doom and gloom for Liev Schreiber! While the 41-year-old actor has made a name for himself by choosing  “difficult, intense” roles on the big screen and on the stage, behind closed doors his life as a father of two has given him some much-needed lightness. He tells Parade that the most fun he has with 17 ½-month-old Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete involves a game of pseudo-hide-and-seek, whereby Sasha hides behind the arm of the couch and Liev pretends that he can’t see him. “I realize that there’s a kind of a divine Buddha truth in that,” Liev says. “I should be doing more things where I’m pretending that I can’t see my son and making him laugh.” He adds,

“That is for me is the brighter side of being a father, that there is something to be said for silliness. My son has given me that.”

That’s not all Liev credits Sasha and new baby Samuel Kai, 4 weeks, with. The boys have also changed his outlook on career, which he describes as — at one time – ”a compulsion.”

“But now I’ve had a child and I have an infant son, so that’s changed things a little bit. I think what I need to do is to stop and get some sense of perspective. It’s not good for me to work all the time.”

Sasha and Samuel are Liev’s children with actress Naomi Watts. His new film Defiance opens January 16th.

Candace Parker, Shelden Williams Expecting First Child

Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker and her husband, Sacramento Kings player Shelden Williams, are expecting their first child this spring. Candace — a former No. 1 draft pick and winner of MVP and Rookie of the Year honors in 2008 — will continue to work out in anticipation of the 2009 WNBA season, which begins in June. She adds,

“Shelden and I are very excited to be expanding our family. We feel blessed and look forward to becoming parents.”

Candace, 22, and Shelden, 25, were married in November.

Jeremy Licht Welcomes Daughter Jordan Zoey

The Hogan Family actor Jeremy Licht and his wife, Kimberly Wallis Licht, are new parents — 5 ½ weeks early! Daughter Jordan Zoey Licht, not due to arrive until early February, was born on New Year’s Eve at 10:59 p.m. in Los Angeles. She weighed 4 lbs., 10 oz. and was 18 ½ inches long. “We were planning to go to a New Year’s Eve party when my wife started having contractions,” Jeremy explains. “I’m thrilled — shocked that it was this soon, but thrilled. Everybody’s healthy, and it really was an incredible experience. My wife is such a trooper. I’m a blessed man.”

Jeremy says he’s enjoying feeding the baby and even changing her diapers. “My time is 4 a.m. on so my wife can get some sleep. I really love the time I have with her.”

The couple met on JDate.com in 2005 and married in May of 2007. Jeremy, 37, now runs his own financial planning company, while Kimberly, 38, has appeared on Charmed and CSI: NY. They announced the pregnancy in December.
