Poppy Montgomery Dishes on Jackson's Latest Milestones

Jack Guy for PEOPLE for use on CBB

Poppy Montgomery and Adam Kaufman have much to celebrate. They reached a major parenting milestone last month when their first son — Jackson Phillip Deveraux — turned one, and now Jackson has some milestones of his own to crow about. Reveals the 36-year-old actress in the Jan. 26 issue of US Weekly,

“He’s walking, and pointing, and he can say dog, and has bunches of teeth, but he doesn’t have any hair. He looks like my accountant.”

Jackson — who toddles around like a “little drunken sailor,” according to Poppy — marked his big day in mom’s native Australia, at a party thrown by his grandmother. Of the fête, Poppy reveals that her mom ”had clowns and petting zoos and a magician that was kind of creepy!”

Salma Hayek Says Valentina is a 'Force of Nature'

Flynet

During a Tuesday night appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Salma Hayek painted a vivid picture of life with her “force of nature” daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, 15-months. The 42-year-old actress revealed that Valentina “likes everything clean” — and she isn’t shy about making her wishes known! “She doesn’t say trash or basura yet, she says ‘caca, caca,’” Salma explained. “So she’ll go around the house, saying ‘Mama, caca!’ if there’s just a little thing on the floor. ‘Caca!’ We have to pick it up. ‘Mama, caca! Caca!’”

Valentina speaks Spanish, French and English “perfectly,” Salma beamed … although some words are delivered more politely than others! She reveals,

“I don’t know what she’s going to say next. I don’t try to force her into words…although I do wish she could say ‘thank you’ instead of ‘WATER!’ [Valentina]‘s like a dictator in the house. She’s bossy.”

And exhausting! Because Valentina is a sleepwalker, Salma has assumed the role of “bodyguard” for her daughter at night. “She sleeps well,” Salma explained. “She just has too much fun sleeping.”

“She talks, she screams, she sings, she claps, she sleepwalks, she screams for Barney, she fights with someone. And when you have a child who sleepwalks, it’s really scary. All night I’m waking up and waking up, and she’s having a blast. She’s having a party, and I’m just not invited.”

While pregnant, Salma was “not exactly” hoping for a daughter. “Everybody told me that boys are closer to their mothers than girls, and I just wanted a baby to be so close to me,” she explained. Happily, everybody was wrong! “It is the best thing that could have happened to me,” Salma admits. “Nobody could be closer than we are. I love her.”

Valentina is Salma’s daughter with former fiancé François-Henri Pinault.

Bebe au Lait

Chris Noth was swarmed by moms asking for pictures and autographs while he and girlfriend Tara looked for educational items for their one year old son, Orion. They made a deal with the author of the Your Baby Can Read line of books to teach their nanny how to work with their baby and the books. Only in Hollywood! Chris was also spotted playing on the floor with Orion for over half an hour while Tara browsed Bebe au Lait‘s Double Bibs (and selected their Mint Chocolate print). Jennie Garth On Another Baby: 'The Sooner The Better'

Axelle Woussen/Bauer Griffin

Between two busy careers and three busy children, chaos reigns supreme for actors Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli. Describing their home as “a zoo” and “a complete cuckoo house,” Jennie says she’d nonetheless love to add a fourth child to the mix. “The sooner the better, because I’m not getting any younger,” the 36-year-old 90210 star tells OK!, adding,

“Talk to my husband and my mom. They’ll tell you hell no, but I say yes — more babies!”

Whether it was the decision to sign on to the original Beverly Hills 90210 or the decision to appear on Dancing With the Stars, Jennie says she has no regrets about the choices she’s made, and she hopes daughters Luca Bella, 11, Lola Ray, 6 and Fiona Eve, 2 will adopt a similar mindset as they enter their formative years. “I wouldn’t change anything I’ve done so far – including my mistakes, because they’ve gotten me to where I am now,” she explains. “I want my girls to make mistakes, too.”

Of course, making mistakes is easy; Learning from them is a different story entirely. Jennie recalled one recent family outing to a restaurant, where the girls were being “really loud” and disruptive. An unhappy patron asked Jennie to control her children, complaining that the girls were ruining her meal. “My first instinct was to say, ‘Don’t talk to my kids that way,’” Jennie admits. “But I didn’t, and I let her rant. After the meal, I made them go over to the table and say they were sorry.” While Peter later asked Jennie why she didn’t choose instead to defend the girls, she viewed the situation as an opportunity to teach — and for the girls to learn!

“[I wanted to teach them] to respect their elders, which I think is one of the big things that’s wrong with youth today. At bedtime I asked, ‘What did you guys learn from what happened?’ My 6-year-old said, ‘You have to be kind in a restaurant. There are other people there, too.’”
