Julia Ormond Her 'Best Self' Around Daughter

INF

Children are the ultimate motivator for self-improvement, and Julia Ormond‘s experience as a mom is no different. The 44-year-old actress tells Redbook magazine that 4-year-old Sophie has changed her life profoundly. “She makes me aspire to be the best version of myself that I can be in every moment.” Including, it would seem, moments both big and small; When asked her idea of a perfect day, Julia replies,

“Starting the day reading Dr. Seuss while snuggling with my daughter. Nothing beats it.”

Sophie even factors into Julia’s hopes for the new year. Tops on her to-do list? Teaching Sophie how to “learn to ride a bike solo.”

“No pressure, but I remember getting there myself and how exhilarating it was.”

Sophie is Julia’s daughter with husband Jon Rubin.

Happy Birthday Orion Christopher Noth!

Flynet

Happy Birthday Orion Christopher Noth! Mr. Big’s big baby is 1 year old today. Known for his cute smile and full head of hair, Chris Noth and girlfriend Tara Wilson‘s little guy is a favorite here on CBB. After Orion’s birth, Chris spoke about the new love of his life, saying, “I never thought I’d see the day where the sound of a child crying would be music to my ears.” Chris and Tara initially experienced a scare — doctors couldn’t find a heartbeat for their baby — but after seeing their healthy boy on the ultrasound screen, the couple chose a strong name for their son, settling on Orion. Now, cherishing every day together, the family is preparing to see Orion into his second year — and we can’t wait to see more of him, too!

Jamie Oliver Works for Daughters Poppy and Daisy

John P. Iblis/JPI

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver may rule in the kitchen, but at home he takes the backseat to the wishes of his wife Jools Oliver and their daughters Poppy Honey, 6 ½, and Daisy Boo, 5 ½. “The wife is getting more and more control of the house and the two girls have got it all sewn up,”  shared Jamie in a new interview, noting that “I work for them now. Did you know that? I work for Poppy and Daisy Oliver.” Part of that may come from the fact that “they think what I do is very insignificant and just take the mickey out of me. They are completely unimpressed by what I do. As they get older they are getting cheekier and funnier.”

Jamie may have another boss soon as he and Jools are expecting their third child in April! When asked about potential names for their baby, the 33-year-old reveals that “Jools has got the names all sussed and she won’t even tell me. She’ll probably call it something like Sunshine or Dewdrop.”

Faith Evans Tells Son 'Fame Costs'

Astrid Stawiarz/WireImage

Notorious — the new biopic of the late Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G. — represented a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for his 12-year-old son Christopher ‘CJ’ Wallace Jr., says Biggie’s widow Faith Evans. That’s why CJ was allowed to put his quiet life in California on hold in order to portray his father in the film. “If it wasn’t for this project being the project it was, I wouldn’t have pulled him out of school,” Faith explains. “He thinks he’s interested [in being a performer], then every time he remembers that tutor he had on set he goes back to reality.”

“He’s like, I don’t know.’ It’s fun, but it’s still work.”

Work indeed! CJ — who also raps on the film’s soundtrack in a remixed version of Biggie’s hit song ‘One More Chance’ — has learned that his job isn’t necessarily done just because the film has finished shooting. Last Thursday he rang the opening NASDAQ bell while making the rounds to promote the film. Recalls Faith,

“He didn’t want to get up that early, but I’m like, ‘Uh-uh, baby, you go to work. You want fame? Fame costs.’”

Notorious is in theaters now.

SinuCleanse Kids Mist: Creating Harmony One Goopy Nose At A Time

The creeping crud hit our house early this year and we spent much of October wiping goopy noses, so I was fortunate to have a SinuCleanse Kids Mist kit ($15) in the house. The kit comes with three vials of preservative-free saline solution (aka salt water) that provide about 200 spritzes of ultra-fine saline mist.  The bottle has a long, slender tube that lets you put just the tip at the base of baby’s nostril then pump the bottle with your fingertip.  Read More
