Baron Davis Preps For Parenthood With Honor Marie

Many first-time parents find a sense of comfort in the countless books filled with the tips and tricks of raising a child, but, often times, the greatest lessons are learned from simple hands-on experience. According to 7 ½-month-old Honor Marie Warren‘s godfather, NBA star Baron Davis, the tiny tot is having no trouble teaching her mom and dad the ropes of parenthood! Clearly enjoying life as a new mom, Baron reveals that actress Jessica Alba and her husband, producer Cash Warren, “know they’ll make a lot of mistakes,” but tend not to sweat the small stuff, saying “they laugh and learn from their baby.”

Hopeful to take a few notes himself for his future family, Baron credits Honor — a “real-life baby doll” — for stirring up his own feelings of becoming a father. “Honor is so much fun that she has definitely made me want to have children.” However, for now, the basketball player is perfectly content to sit back and learn from the couple.

“I’m just letting Jess and Cash teach me some things and make their mistakes first! I know what to expect now.”

Well, I can understand Baron feeling that itch every time he’s around his little goddaughter. Honor seems so sweet, and, hell, looking at her and that sweet little face makes me want a clone of her for myself. ;)

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
