Carmen Rasmusen Welcomes Son Boston

American Idol alum Carmen Rasmusen has welcomed her first child, a son named Boston. Though no details about the birth have been released, Carmen had said previously that baby boy was due around Christmas Eve.

Carmen finished sixth during the second season of AI; In 2007, she released her first studio album, Nothin’ Like the Summer. While the 23-year-old country songstress plans to continue recording music she’s currently devoting all her time to Boston, telling Entertainment Weekly,

“Being a mom comes first.”

Boston is also the first child for Carmen’s husband, Brad Herbert.

I love the name a lot! I like “city” names. Funky but contemporary.

I loved Carmen on AI. She was so spunky and cute. I knew she wasn’t going to win but I was still sad when she got voted off!

I really Loved Carmen on American Idol. Really wanted her to win because she was beautiful and so sweet and sang so cute. Wish there was a current pic of her little boy baby Boston to see. She really was fortunate to marry such a great young man Bradley the son of the Lt. Govener of Utah. Seems like Carmen married into a really wonderful family. This young girl is very blessed.
