Cobie Smulders: Focusing on 'Creating Life'

Actresses Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan “like doing things together,” so it only makes sense that the friends and How I Met Your Mother co-stars would be venturing into motherhood at the same time. Since the pair are both due this spring and “going to be bigger and bigger,” the show is “shooting the finale right now” shares Cobie. After wrapping for the season, the 26-year-old wants to focus on being pregnant. She jokes,

“I’m working on creating life at the moment, with my body. So I’m gonna, you know, bang that out this hiatus and raise it for a couple months and then get back to work.”

Cobie and her boyfriend, actor Taran Killam, announced their pregnancy in November and Alyson and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, announced that they were expecting the month before.

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.

HIMYM is one of my husband and my favorite shows. It feels like the life he and I could be having if we weren’t living in suburban CA with kids (yah… right!) I am SO excited that the lady leads are having babies. They are fabulous and gorgeous.

I really can’t wait until Cobie and Alyson have their babies. I’m glad they’re shooting the finale now. I hope HIMYM does an AU episode where both Lily and Robin are pregnant. That would be funny.
