Isla Fisher's Girl (and Her Giraffe!)

Whittle/Splash News Online

Isla Fisher, who calls daughter Olive “by far my greatest accomplishment,” toted her 15-month-old as she fiddled with her Maclaren stroller on Tuesday. The pair were leaving a children’s gym in West Hollywood after a group class.

Dad is Isla’s fiancé, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.

Olive holds a Vulli Sophie the Giraffe teething toy ($20).

My little girl loved her Sophie. It’ll be one of those toys that has a place on her dresser for years to come!

I see Olive like both parents. She seems more like Isla in my opinion but I can definately see Sacha in her too. Sophie the giraffe teethers seem to be popular. I’m sure Harlow Madden also has one!

I think Olive is such a cutie…and it’s no surprise given how beautiful her mother is! Isla is just so naturally stunning!

My two oldest kids loved their Sophies while teething! I wonder if my third will love hers as well…I can’t wait until she can hold things!

- UggaMugga.com on

I don’t believe I’ve EVER seen Olive with Sacha. Isla is really seeming like a single mom. Olive is all Sacha though, if you ask me lol.

- Ashley on

Olive is sooooo cute! And Isla always looks beautiful in a totally effortless way. I’m jealous :)

- ErykaWynter on

YES! My favorite mommy-daughter duo! They are so incredibly gorgeous. Isla is my favorite actress (and I’m counting down the days until Shopaholic comes out!) and Olive is by far one of the cutest celebrity babies!

- Stephany on

We have seen Sasha with Olive, most of the time with Isla as well. I think it may be because Isla is more recognizable as Sasha is known as Ali G, Borat and now Bruno.

Olive is a beauty, so pretty. She’ll for sure have a cracking sense of humor as well. Lucky Lucky girl.

Isla is gorgeous! Olive is a very pretty baby!

I’ve seen Sasha with Olive and Isla. For some reason I imagine he does go out of his way to stay away from photographers because it would take away the realism of Borat/Ali G/Bruno.If his face is seen around every other day everyone will see Sasha Baron Cohen and not the characters he portrays.

- eva on

Cute! I love Olive. Great name too.

- Fevvers on

I’m always excited to see them. My 16 month old DD is named Olive too and I’m glad to see another one around. I still get funny looks when I tell people my daughter’s name. I love it though.

I agree with Eva. Sacha stays away from the paps as much as possible. There have been photos with the three of them, in LA or on vacay. It would be really hard for him to portray Borat et al if he was too recognizable. Plus, he has been filming Bruno for the last few months so I imagine that he’s been away. Although, I wish we did see him more, he’s handsome! Loved seeing him at the Golden Globes. Every time I hear his real voice it surprises me as most films are done with a character’s voice.

I love how Olive has the strawberry hair like her mom, but she’s got so much Sacha in her face. So cute!

And really, we see pictures of her with Isla maybe a couple times a week….. When you think about it, it’s not that often, out of a whole day, or a whole week, or all of Olive’s life thus far. Personally I find all the comments that always seem to come with pictures of these two, about Sacha never spending time with Olive, or Isla apparently raising her on her own, kind of ridiculous. We don’t know how much time Sacha is spending with her at home – like people have said, he seems to make a very conscious effort to stay out of the spotlight, since being relatively unknown or unrecognizable is kind of essential to his career.

- Jane on

So if he makes the effort to not be seen by paps and succeeds in it, why doesn’t Isla do the same thing? She just said the other day that she hates them!

- Anna on

Anna, good one. Wishing them all the best, but something seems fishy here.

- l on

I see both her parents in her looks, but more Isla.

- Gianna on

A few weeks ago, Harlow Winter Kate was spotted out and about with mommy Nicole Richie holding the same giraffe teething toy! They’re both so adorable!

- cbbfan on

Anna–We always see Isla out and about, often shopping, because she has a movie, coincidentally about shopping to promote. See the connection Also, a woman with a baby is more interesting to her target audience than a woman without one. Shopping forays with the baby are free publicity.

- julie on

julie- So basically you’re saying that Isla is using Olive to get publicity? I’m not saying that there aren’t celebs that do that, but Isla is generally a very private person (really, we don’t see her THAT often, and a lot of times we have to wait months between Olive sightings). Therefore, I don’t think she would do that.

Also, it just irks me that some people seem to think that celebs never take their kids out simply as a fun outing for the kids (and in the description, it even says that Isla and Olive were leaving a Children’s Gym when this picture was taken. If that wasn’t an outing specifically for Olive, I don’t know what is!)! I mean, what are Isla and other celebs (Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are also often criticized for “parading” Suri around for publicity as well) supposed to do? Keep their kids cooped up inside all the time?

Also, celebs are also critcized when they never or rarely bring their children out (For example, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt-but mostly Angie-used to get criticized left and right whenever they didn’t take Shiloh out with her siblings. Luckily, now that Knox and Viv have been born and Shi’s no longer the only bio child in the family, those comments have pretty much stopped. Also, don’t even get me started on the big contrevosy that surronded Suri when her parents didn’t take her out in public for several months after her birth, or the constant critcism of Nicole Kidman for rarely being seen with her older children). Really, they cannot win either way!

- CelebBabyLover on

Oh, and Julie, I realize I may have mis-interpreted your comment, and I apologize in advance if that’s the case! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Oh, those cheeks! Those cheeks just kill me. How cute is that round little face? Olive seems like such a happy baby. That’s always nice to see (I’d love just one picture of a smiling Suri Cruise).

- Jill-e-b on

Why do people always want to see kids smiling? They don’t have to smile all the time. They’re entitled to feeling grumpy and sad every once in a while like any other human being.

- cara on

Hi Celeb Lover–Thanks for the apology. I appreciate your seeing that you might have misinterpreted my remark. Thanks for being open-minded.

I’m not calling Isla a user exactly, I’m just pointing out something about the timing of all this. You said, “I’m not saying that there aren’t celebs that do that, but Isla is generally a very private person (really, we don’t see her THAT often, and a lot of times we have to wait months between Olive sightings.” That’s correct. Sometimes we do go months without seeing her or Olive. Now we are seeing them rather frequently. My question is “Why now?”

She generally makes it a point to stay out of the limelight, and you never see Sacha. They obviously are somewhere where they DO manage to evade the paps most of the time. They don’t disappear into thin air, but somehow they stay under the radar. Now she’s on the radar screen–out shopping where the paps are bound to see her a lot of the time. There were even some shots of her asking the paps for directions to the Grove Mall. If you don’t want to be seen by the paps, why tell them where you are going?

Her movie come out on Valentine’s Day right? In the last few weeks, we’ve seen new releases about photo spreads in FHM, the girly magazine she was in frequently 10-12 years ago when she was trying to break out of soaps, and in GQ. That’s to get guys who wouldn’t ordinarily want to see a chick flick to not mind taking their girlfriends/wives; they’ll want to sit through this to see Isla because she’s “hot.” Photo spreads in Allure and InstyleUK will attract women who like fashion or Sex in the City. That’s the target audience.

That’s marketing…and in this economy, a comedy about spending too much is a hard sell. This is Isla’s first chance to be the main character in a movie. If it fails, it’ll be her last chance. She’s 32, and that’s old in Hollywood for a “starlet.” You’re either a Nicole Kidman or a Gwenyth Paltrow by 32 or you’re on your way out. She’s really just becoming known now. She’s got to do whatever she can to promote this film.

Jill-e-b- What are you talking about? There are TONS of pictures of Suri smiling!
