As Elisabeth Röhm excitedly made her way to the Golden Globes after-parties Sunday night, parting ways with her 9-month-old daughter Easton August was bittersweet. Grateful for an evening out on the town with her girlfriends – one of her first such nights since becoming a mom — Elisabeth nonetheless had Easton’s latest and greatest milestone fresh in her mind. “She said goodbye to me for the first time…she kind of put it together that this is ‘Bye Bye,’” the 35-year-old actress tells PEOPLE. “I was like, ‘No, don’t say goodbye! I’m staying!”
From the sound of things, had Easton uttered the words any sooner Elisabeth might have skipped those after-parties, after all! As her experience as a mom has grown, so has her confidence, however.
“I’m kind of in my zone, I think a little bit more peaceful. I’m not that young, kind of bouncing off the walls as much as I used to be.”
Sporting a flowing Elie Tahari dress and Martin Katz jewels, Elisabeth revealed that she’s been working out three days a week in an effort to reclaim her pre-baby body. As is so often the case, the last 10 pounds of baby weight are proving to be tough to shed — physically, as well as emotionally. She adds,
“Losing baby weight is very hard…because you’re attached to your baby weight. You like it.”
Easton is Elisabeth’s daughter with fiancé Ron Wooster.
