I’d laugh about that man trying to sell his daughter for beer and meat if the reality wasn’t so hugely tragic. Some people just shouldn’t be parents, that’s the moral of that story.

Has anyone read the actual news article regarding the man “selling his daughter for meat and beer”? The man is from a Mexican tribe which has a culture that includes child brides. He was not selling his daughter, the $16,000 he was to received was part of the dowry, and the meat and beer is for their wedding. I do not at all agree with child brides, but this is part of their unique culture. It was not simply some guy selling his daughter for beer. By the way, when the man was caught, it is said that he genuinely had no idea that marrying off his daughter was illegal.

My feelings towards “less-homework revolution” A way for moms to get their way so they can spend more time driving around town in their big SUV’s dragging their children to ballet, piano and karate class. It’s pathetic. How are these kids going to be prepared for highschool and college. If parents don’t like how their school functions then they should home school.
