He sounds like my husband. My husband is worried our baby will grow up to be very athletic and that he (my DH) would not be able to contribute much there. My DH is a great engineer and very musical, but a person can’t know everything. :-p I tell him that if our kids have interests outside of his, he’ll learn about them and of course be supportive in other ways. A dad (or mom) can be a great cheerleader and team parent…they don’t have to be the coach. The important thing is that the parents care about figuring out ways to be involved in their kids’ lives!
