Courteney Cox: 'Coco is Just Like Me'

Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic

Courteney Cox-Arquette says that despite outward appearances, it is actually her husband David Arquette who is the calming force in her marriage. In a recent appearance on The Rachel Ray Show, Courteney revealed that much to her chagrin, the couple’s 4 ½-year-old daughter Coco Riley did not inherit David’s laid-back demeanor, however! “She’s just like me,” Courteney admitted to guest interviewer — and fellow celebrity mom — Gabrielle Reece.

“She’s very artistic, but she’s also a perfectionist. And that’s the part I see in her that’s like me and you don’t want them to have that at 4. I feel a little bad. I see her being really particular.”

Praising David for being “so good with Coco” and “such a great help,” Courteney, 44, is thankful that she doesn’t shoulder the child-rearing load on her own. “I don’t have any resentments like a lot of people can have in relationships, where they don’t do their part,” she explains. “David’s definitely right there, 50-50.” No stranger to infertility — having suffered through several miscarriages on the way to welcoming Coco — Courteney has had to redefine her vision of what her family will someday be.

“I used to think i would have 8 [children].  When I was growing up I wanted a big family and now, I don’t know what will happen. I guess anything can happen. It will either happen or it won’t. Very soon! I mean, I won’t be 80 going, ‘Well, I’m still thinking about it…’”

It sounds like they are trying for another baby right now. Considering how difficult it was for them to conceive Coco I really hope they can get pregnant again.

I wonder if Courtney has ever thought about adoption (and this is not a critcism of her, just something I’m wondering about)?
