Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise Share a Smile

Lisa Mauceri/INF

Suri Cruise and mom Katie Holmes (with some fun friends!) had a moment on Monday, as they left their family’s New York City apartment. The mom-daughter duo have been seen out and about together a lot lately, as Katie’s run in the Broadway play All My Sons ends next Sunday, January 11th.

Recently, dad Tom Cruise said he wouldn’t be opposed to his 2 ½-year-old daughter pursuing a career in modeling or acting — although once she’s grown up a bit!

Suri is such a CUTIE! :)

- Jessica on

Suri is so cute! I love her little dog! She must live in those shoes! hahaha

- Laura on

Thank goodness she’s wearing a coat! It’s been so cold in the city.

- jen on

Suri’s always wearing those shoes, and more power to her! They’re mad cute. I’m going to see if they have them in my size (I’m a grown woman but due to small parents, I wear children’s sizes in shoes).

- P on

Wow her hair sure has grown quickly.

She is such a cutie.

- Sammy-xx on

Suri is very VERY BEAUTIFUL…there is NO DOUBLT about that…However her FRINGE is PAST her precious little eyes again and obstructing her view…Time to visit the hair salon again Katie!!!

- SarahAnne on

That little girl has an AMAZING hair gene…it simply grows and grows and GROWS…Lucky One…

- SarahAnne on

They make such an adorable pair!

- Stephany on

Poor Suri.

(insert comment on coat) or (insult comment on hair length).

Then add comment on shoes to make it seem like a non critical comment.

Cut the family some slack already.

- PJ on

Last week I thought the complaints about her bangs will probably start again soon…and yes here it is, not a second too late.

If Suri was bothered by them I’m sure she would tell her parents, she seems like a little girl that knows exactly what she wants.

- Anna on

Geez, enough with the coat and bangs! My daughter’s hair grow really fast, now her bangs are as long as Suri’s. I asked her if she wanted to cut them shorter, she told me they don’t bother her! So who are we to judge about others’ clothes, or hairstyle? I am so sick of every time seeing a cute picture of Suri, there is always at least one complain in the comment. I should have known better not to read them.

- Liz on

I cannot imagine cutie pie Suri would sit still very long for a trim. If she is like my DD was, they might need to trim them while she sleeps – she seems like a firecracker!!!!!

- Tracy on

P.S., I’ve just looked back at the few comments, and there is one that makes reference to her coat (not at all critical) and one that mentioned her fringe (again, not critical, just commentary). Both comments were lighthearted. The several more jumping on those readers were not lighthearted. You just can’t say anything around here anymore! This is exactly why I don’t comment here much, I can’t stand the policing of the comments by other readers. And really, I don’t think there would be half of the apparently hated critical comments, if they weren’t provoked out of people.

- hannah on

gonna get slated for saying this, i’m sure…but i quite like her fringe long, it really suits her! x

- Lou on

I don’t find using CAPS SCREAMING at people light hearted. People on this website know that real nasty things don’t get posted so they make their post “light hearted” while drilling this family into the ground.

- Anna on

Anna, I don’t think SarahAnne meant to insinuate screaming, the post itself wasn’t particularly critical, so I must say that I agree with Hannah. It just looks like SarahAnne was highlighting certain words, including that there was NO DOUBT that Suri was VERY BEAUTIFUL. I don’t think that is ‘drilling the family into the ground’. But Hannah’s point stands I think, there is too much provocation on Suri posts, and that is more offensive to me than the critical comments (that just recently mostly don’t even happen until someone starts baiting). I don’t like to see either (provocation or criticism), but I know which I dislike more. Some readers just don’t seem to be able to let go of the past. Yes, there have been overly critical comments about this family, but that doesn’t really happen much anymore, but the criticism of ANY comment that doesn’t explicitely say nice things still remains at the level it has always been.

- phoebe on

I want them to let Suri grow out her hair. I like the Matilda look but I want to see how much cuter she could get with longer locks without the bangs

- stedine on

Hannah : you hit the nail on the head!

The unpleasant, aggressive tone of these people who seem to take so much exception at anyone posting anything – however mild – that they don’t agree with! Scarey.

Phoebe: the voice of reason as usual!

Suri is beautiful. Personally don’t get the non coat wearing thing and I do think it kind of sets a bad example BUT I’m 100 per cent sure this lovely child is well cared for and loved so that’s the main thing.

- Manon on

But she is wearing her Burberry Coat in the picture…

- stedine on

She’s such a cutie. I’d love to see her with longer hair, but then i am just a fan of long hair lol. She looks lovely with whatever.

- Bb on

I agree with Hannah. It seems like comments are often taken out of context…someone even started in on her shoes and if you look at the first comment about her shoes it was a compliment. I feel for these families that live such public lives and get such flack…Suri doesn’t wear a coat, Kingston has a pacifier, Angelina carries Zahara…Jen carries Violet while pregnant!!! God forbid! Give these people a break and realize that their children didn’t chose to live in the public eye and are like normal children. They do normal things like cry and have tantrums and that doesn’t make them bad parents or their child a brat. Oh Suri by the way, love the coat, love the shoes and love the hair. Baby you look fabulous!
