In the hebrew language, the v and b are interchangeable, so it can also be A-Key-Ba, as a variation.
When I told my husband that a celebrity had named her son Akiva, he expressed some concern that six years down the road he would have the same name as many children starting kindergarten. I told him I don’t quite think it will catch on like “Ava” or a “Madison” :) .

The name Akiva is a jewish name and they are both jewish. Read that on another website. They waited the 8 days to announce the birth and name till after his “bris” thats what some jews do.
