Jim Carrey Plays Santa From Afar

Santa has already visited the home of 6 ½-year-old Evan Joseph Asher…and he looked an awful lot like The Grinch! Actor Jim Carrey, who has been dating Evan’s mom actress Jenny McCarthy since 2005, said Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he recently put on quite a show for Evan while dressed as Old Saint Nick. “The house is kind of U-shaped, and they brought Evan out across the yard so he could see…but it was kind of diffused,” Jim, 46, explained. “He could see me, but it was through two sets of doors.”

“I literally came out of the chimney and I was dancing around like a Santa who was just totally out of his mind. Santa [acting] totally crackers. So there was actually no chance that he wanted a meeting with me. But he was fascinated…It was great.”

Evan is Jenny’s son with ex-husband John Asher. Jim’s new movie Yes Man is in theaters now.

How nice!!

We did that for our daughter once, her dad put on a santa suit and she was him putting gifts under the xmas tree. She did not see his face (we thought she would recognize him) but jsut seeing him from afar made her VERY VERY happy and still talks about it til this day!
