I was very petite before my prgenancy, I weighed 49 kg (about 108 lbs),and during pregnancy I was all belly, in fact I gained like 20 kg, and I still looked skinny.

Well, I remember when I was like 6 months that a political aunt told me: "your baby must be really small, because you haven´t gained too much weight" she said it with a despective tone, I haven´t forgotten her yet, in fact I barely talk to her and I avoid her if I can to.

Well, my baby wighed nearly 9 lbs, and I got to my 108 lbs pre-body in 2 weeks,

Ha, What do you think about that aunt Silvia?

People really do say the darndest things when you're pregnant. I've had a couple memorable comments recently. My MIL saw me over Thanksgiving (when I was 7 months) and exclaimed: "You're huge! By this rate you're going to be GIGANTIC at 9 months." [It was said in a horrified tone. I wanted to say 'I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?" but instead just reminded her that b/c of my genetic disorder the baby has no where to go but out and I have a large baby. Then I cried about it to my husband later.]

I also had a nurse at my cardiologist's office fake-sweetly ask if my OB was actually happy with the amount of weight that I had gained and then nearly accuse me of lying when I said yes.

People should be careful when talking to pregnant women about their weight. Not only are we a little more sensitive with all those hormones coursing through our veins, but you never know if a woman has had eating disorder problems in the past and comments about her weight can be an awful trigger.
