Joovy Just Like Mine: Toy Caboose Doll Tandem Stroller

Doll strollers get quite the workout in my house — and we love Joovy’s Just Like Mine Toy Caboose Doll or Stuffed Toy Tandem Stroller ($119). Designed like Joovy’s very popular Caboose Tandem Stroller, this toy tandem stroller is a realistic size and comes with one seat in the front, a rear bench seat and a ride-on platform. Suitable for ages three and up, use it inside or outside. Great features include swivel front wheels, a two position front seat, removable hood and padded handles.

Assembly is required, but was a cinch. To put it together, just attach the four wheels, hood, and snack tray. Joovy’s Just Like Mine! Doll or Stuffed Toy Car Seat is compatible with it and available additionally. Just take off the snack tray to attach the doll infant car seat, with the included car seat adapter.  My son found it very easy to push around and I liked the compact fold, when it was time to put it away.

My 3 year old son loves playing with the Toy Caboose Stroller. He was so psyched to be able to load two of his stuffed animals onto it. He didn’t care that that we had the pink version (blue is also available).  We did find that the Toy Caboose Stroller was too big to tuck into our single or double stroller for a walk to the park, but we managed to balance it on the hood of our double stroller to get it there.

Pros: Good quality and durability. Since it was a tandem toy stroller, my son was happy he could take more than one stuffed animal in it.

Cons: A little pricey and too big to fit into a stroller basket.

Verdict: We really like Joovy’s Toy Caboose Stroller.  We’ve already gotten a lot of use out of it and I feel that it will hold up for my daughter’s use too. My son kept gravitating towards it, over his other doll stroller, since it was bigger and sturdier.

Wait… this is a TOY stroller for $119? Not a stroller that can hold a child? I love most of the items you review on this site, but this seems a little over the top.
