David Alan Basche and Alysia Reiner Welcome Daughter Livia Charles

Actors David Alan Basche and his wife Alysia Reiner are parents after welcoming a baby girl. Daughter Livia Charles Basche was born at 5:14 p.m. on Friday, December 5th in New York City. She weighed 7 lbs and measured 21 inches. In a statement released, the couple share,

“Mom, dad, and daughter are doing great and looking forward to bringing home Livia to her new, all green eco-friendly nursery.”

The pregnancy was announced in August. David can be seen on Lipstick Jungle and alongside Alysia on The Starter Wife. David and Alysia originally met during a summer theater program.

I don’t think I’m ever going to get over this use of boys names as first or middle names on girls.

Either way, congrats to them both.

aww nice name.. but charles.. thats a boys name.. but i like it.. my name is olivia and my brothers name is charles

Harley, I’m guessing they’re Jewish, and their daughter’s middle name is in honor of a deceased relative. A couple of my friends did the same with their daughters. Or, Charles could be a family surname–my son’s middle name is after his maternal great-grandmother.

I think it’s actually really cute. The name is balanced out with a very feminine first name and a masculine middle name. I don’t think people should have to go by if it’s a name of a girl or a boy, it’s so sexist! There is, however, a line between names and cities.
