Suri Cruise: Daddy's Little Girl

NY Team/Most Wanted

Suri Cruise, 2 ½, gets a pat on the back from dad Tom Cruise as the two left their New York City apartment building Thursday. Mom Katie Holmes recently spoke to T, the New York Times style magazine, about "seeing New York through Suri’s eyes." The family is in Manhattan while Katie continues her run on Broadway in All My Sons.

Can’t get enough of Suri? Check out her Year in Dresses!

Oh my gosh, it was freezing in NYC today. I’m so sick of them not putting a coat on her. I realize she’s going from building to car to building to car, but give me a break!!

Suri looks so adorable. She is probably my favourite celebrity child. I just think she is so beautiful

- Natasha on

Suri really is so precious. Tom and Katie are happier than everr! I’m so happy for them.

- annie on

How cute! They look so happy!

- Ellen on

awe..what a sweet picture, she SOO cute!!

- stacey on

Geez, what kind of weather are the lucky New Yorkers experiencing? Here in Ohio, we’ve got all of our winter gear in play!

- Anne on

Such a cute photo. Baby and daddy cuddles are always so adorable. :D

- J on

i live much furthur south and it’s cold here too. they must be warm natured people i guess…

- Mary on

what an adorable picture! i do hope tom gets a copy of that one to frame.

- MB on

To answer your question Anne, it’s freezing in NY.

- Kitty on

Awww very cute picture of Tom and Suri.
It’s cold here also but she does have on pants, long sleeve shirt, socks and I’m sure shoes with a blanket around her. I much rather see her like this then in a silk short sleeve dress.

- Bancie1031 on

To those who say that Suri never wears pants…exhibit A…

- Chicki on

I’m not sure what kind of weather they’re experiencing, but us lucky southern Californians are walking around in tshirts & jeans (maybe a light cardigan or sweater). I saw a picture of her trying to take off her jacket & her daddy tickling her so it won’t come off. She may just be like my kid, takes off his sweater every chance he gets. They look so cute though.

Okay, I just checked the WeatherChannel website, and the tempurature in NYC on Thursday flucuated between 39 and 49 degrees throughout the course of the day. While that IS a little on the chilly side, it’s definently not what I’d call freezing!

“Freezing” would be the weather we’ve been having where I live for the past couple of days (where it’s been a bit below 20 degrees lately).

Anyway, Suri is one of my top five favorite celeb baby girls (the others are Violet Affleck and all three of the Jolie-Pitt girls)! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

I love seeing suri… she reminds me so much of my own daughter, who was a serious baby who rarely smiled out and about.

I look at her and wonder where the time has gone, but I’m glad that, like Tom and Katie are doing, I treasured every moment of those years… now that she’s 4, I’m still doing that.

I don’t agree with them all the time and often voice it when that happens, but they are clearly pretty good parents and how much she clearly loves them is the proof.

- Kat on

It snowed in NY today. Snow happens when the temps are below 32….freezing.

- Kitty on

That is a truly beautiful picture, but what is with the hair Tom??

- phoebe on

Despite all of the claims against Tom Cruise, he is a decent human being and a good father. thanks for sharing!

- BabyPictureGenerator on

Kitty, that photo was taken on Thursday the 4th and not Sunday the 7th. No snow or freezing that day. :)

- J on

Good thing Mr.Cruis loves tall woman, Suri looks like she has Mom’s long legs!

- Bohemian Nut on

39 – 49 is cold! 42 degrees and below the schools, daycares etc…. won’t even let the children go outside to play even with jackets, because it’s too cold. Closer to 49 isn’t that bad but is still cold especially to a child.
Now I think she’s dressed ok right here considering the fact that they are probably leaving their apartment and heading to a waiting car.
J – ” photo was taken on Thursday the 4th and not Sunday the 7th”
Where does it say the picture was taken on Thursday December 4th and not on Saturday December 6th – when it was posted – or on Friday December 5th?

- Bancie1031 on

Phoebe: I always agree with your posts! It IS a beautiful photo but I must admit to be taken aback by Tom’s hairstyle!

She seems such a lively, animated child. I am sure she is very bright too.

- Manon on

I’m in Wisconsin…. I guess people are just better in the cold here. The kids are allowed out for recess as long as the temperature is not below zero!! :)

Many of the kids here will be dropped off at the middle school & high school without coats (they don’t have recess). People routinely engage in winter time activities at temperatures around zero.

My guess is that they were going straight from a door to a heated car. No biggie. Adorable photo!!

- Sandi on

Bancie: First sentence of the caption. ;)

Suri and daddy look very cute together! I love snuggles from my boys.

- Brandi on

Not a fan of this family, but c’mon 49 in the winter is not cold! I live in a mountain resort town. Our average temp this time of year is 30-45. When the sun is out it actually feels quite warm – just right for a sweater or sweatshirt. And I wouldn’t even THINK of putting on a jacket or a hat if I was going straight from my house, to a car, and then into another building. With all their bodyguards and nannies, don’t you think it would be reasonable that one of THEM might be carrying a jacket or a diaper bag with a hat in it? Y’all have too much time on your hands! Cute pic, though not a fan of Tom’s 60′s slicked back hair. I’m guessing he’s getting ready to play another movie role.

- sherri on

Lovely Pic of Father & Daughter!
Re: the comments about Tom’s Hairstyle and everyone not liking it-Perhaps he just got out of the shower!!!!

- Sarah on

Boy if you think 49 is cold Anne, you’d better not move to Canada!!!! Today we had a wind chill of -17 Celcius!!! 49 here in the winter would be BALMY!!!

LOVE that photo and Suri always looks so happy when she’s with her Daddy! Such an incredible bond :)

- TracyG on

Suri seems to feel more comfortable with her dad…

When she is with Katie she
seems to have way too many
toys and with Tommy she seems
to be falling a sleep..

- Laurie Smythe on

The picture is so sweet with Suri resting her head on daddy’s shoulder.

Both of them seem to have just come out the shower and have wet hair as a result.

- Stedine on

I’m not even going to get into the fact that she’s not wearing a coat…However, I was shocked that a few of you mentioned that in your area, children are not allowed outside to play in 0 degree celsius (32 F)weather.. i live in eastern canada, and if we went by those rules, our children would never be outside from November -May! haha just interesting!

- Aurora on

Brandi – thank you very much …. I reread my post and it came off like I was being a smartalec but I honestly wasn’t trying to be. I just scanned the post and obviously didn’t read it well because I missed it then, and just now I had to actually read it 3 times to see it in there. I only seen when it was posted. Thanks for pointing that out for me.

While 49 degrees isn’t cold to a lot of you because of where you live at (like TracyG – whom I take it lives in Canada from her post, and sherri – in mountain resort town, though I’m not sure where that is) but Suri is used to California weather which is a lot warmer than New York.

- Bancie1031 on

I can see, from photos of course, that she is more relax with the snappers when she is in her daddy´s arms than out with Katie, I guess she feels more secure with Tom.

Well just a thought, sometimes in stressing moments, like places where there a lot of people, my son feels better when my husband carry him.

- angie on

It looks like Suri is soooo loved. I love her photos with her parents.

- Artemis on

Manon – thank you :) ! I just noticed it because it looked very eighties, and so unlike what Tom normally does!
