Rich Soil Baby Debuts Eco- (and Astro-) Conscious Clothing

12/05/2008 at 11:30 AM ET

After losing her infant son Jayden in 2006, Liza Morales, partner of LA Lakers player Lamar Odom, wanted to find a way to pay tribute to her late son while creating a collection she felt gave people a sweet way to have fun with their children’s personalities. So she launched Rich Soil Baby, a clothing line that allows children to express their zodiac-inspired selves while staying environmentally friendly (all pieces are made from 100% organically grown cotton designed with soy-based inks, manufactured and knitted in USA fair trade facilities).

Each onesie is adorned with phrases like "free spirited," "up all night" or "life’s little balancer," accompanied by brightly-colored astrological images. Soft on baby’s skin, the clothing is machine-washable, and available for in sizes infancy through 4T (some styles are unisex, some are sold separately for boys and girls).

Currently, the line is sold at Kitson and Planet Blue, and will be coming to more boutiques in the near future!

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
