A radiant Melanie Chisholm, aka Mel C. of the Spice Girls, attended a star-studded showing of the English National Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty last night at London’s Covent Garden. The singer, 34, has taken time off from her solo career to nest before the arrival of her delivery surprise, due in February.
This is the first child for Melanie and her partner, property developer Thomas Starr.

i guess that means nothing because anne heche was TOTALLY w/ ellen and now has a new baby on the way too… at any rate.
the POINT of this was to say how PRETTY she looks… she always looked so “hard” as a spice girl, which made sense as she was “sporty” spice… but now… she looks REALLY pretty… soft… ladylike… i’m not saying the right word… she looks really pretty… let’s leave it at that… lol

Liz Hurley has brown hair, so I don’t think that’s her, J. As for the face, I’m not sure what Bubbles meant, but there are some old wives’ tales about pregnancy and the face. I think if your face gets fuller during pregnancy it means you’re having a girl and if you “lose your prettiness” in your face you’re having a girl. Not true of course, but fun things to look for to guess about the gender.
Mel and I are due right around the same time so I think it would be so cool if we have our babies the same day. She was always my favorite Spice Girl!
