Teri Hatcher is raising Emerson Rose, 11, with a love of adventure in mind! Mother and daughter have completed their second trip to Africa, Teri shared during a recent appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, and for the first time Emerson was able to go on a walking safari through the bush. "They say that the smallest person is going to be [viewed as] prey," Teri, 43, explained. "So this time she was taller, and was able to go."
Sometimes adventure can be found much closer to home, however — in the backyard, to be exact! Teri is having some construction done at her California home and last month a worker uncovered a vintage Coke bottle from 1969. Intrigued, she soon discovered that the bottle is worth $12.95 to collectors. "I said to the contractor, ‘Is it okay if we wanted to go dig for more things?’" Teri recalled. "So I got a pick ax and a shovel and we went in our backyard and dug for a few hours." She adds,
"We like to do things like that. We’re big on nature and treasure hunts."
Emerson is Teri’s daughter with ex-husband Jon Tenney.
