Life as a first-time father is going well for Clay Aiken, who prides himself on being a hands-on dad. The 30-year-old singer says that while there’s nothing specifically that he does better than Jaymes Foster, mom to 3 ½-month-old Parker Foster Aiken, at the same time "nothing" bothers him about caring for a newborn. "I don’t have a problem with diapers … I don’t have a problem with any of that stuff," he explains to Entertainment Tonight. "It was probably a week before [Jaymes] had to change a diaper at all, because it doesn’t really bother me." Clay has gotten used to walking the halls with a fussy Parker, and admits that he does have a special knack for getting the little guy to quiet down.

"It’s a rhythm. You have to get into it and try to figure out what he wants. I think I’m trying my best to be the stubborn one who doesn’t always let him cry and get what he wants, but he’s still young … He owns us right now."

This Christmas, Clay will be in New York reprising his role as Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot. He opted to re-sign with the show instead of doing his traditional Christmas tour, in order to give Parker some stability over the holidays. "I wanted to be in a place where I could … spend the first Christmas with Parker and not be in a different city every night."

Hi, i was curious if the woman who carried his child has any rights to the baby and if she’s in his life? thanks for answering!

What a wonderful dad!!! I’m so happy that Clay was able to return to Spamalot so he could be around Jaymes and Parker during these very important first few months of his life.

I will miss his touring at Christmas – no one sings Christmas like Clay. But I’ll be able to sit back with my own family and enjoy Merry Christmas with Love in the comfort of my own home with my children!!!

Thank god I can finally come out and admit how much I like Clay. He is a wonderful singer and a super decent guy.

“He owns us right now”

From the smile Clay gets on his face every time he talks about their baby I’d say he wouldn’t have it any other way.

If Clay is as good a dad as he is a singer, Parker has one heck of a fantastic father.

And Parker’s mom is a very pretty woman. With the good looks of both his parents, this little boy is going to be one handsome dude!

I am so happy that Clay has a wonderful, albeit an unconventional family, and he looks so happy now.
Have a very Merry Christmas Clay with your new son.

Is the baby’s mama in Parker’s life? I hope so, that would be nice.

Yes, Jaymes is very much in her son’s life. I think I recall them saying they share a home in order to co-parent.

I’m so happy Clay will be able to spend Christmas with his precious family. Parker and Jaymes are lucky blessed to have this person in their lives.

Clay is a shining example of God’s love in action. You see him with the kids through his foundation and as UNICEF AMBASSADOR and you can’t help but believe that Parker is truly a blessed little boy !!

I’ve never been much of a fan of Clay musically, not being an AI fan either. I am however a fan of Clay as a person. I think he is awesome and that is one lucky baby to have him for a daddy!

I want to look as good as Jaymes when I’m 50!!! :)

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
