Anne Heche took 6 ½-year-old son Homer Laffoon to enjoy a Vancouver Canucks hockey game earlier this week, but almost lost her head doing so! The Canucks’ mascot, Fin the Whale, came over to the actress and attempted to make a meal out of her! Luckily, Anne escaped and resumed watching the game with her little boy.

Homer’s father is Anne’s ex-husband Coley Laffoon. The pair split in 2007.

Ugh, I loathe that Fin the Orca. I actually loathe all team mascots, even Gainer the Gopher for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. A few years ago I was the recipient of Fin’s “attacks” and the “attack” was shown on the Jumbotron. I tried to ignore Fin, but it only served to incite it to do more taunting. I ended up hitting Fin with my bag and people cheered. I’m like excuse me, I’m a little old for this, go bite someone else. I know the person inside Fin is just doing a job, and lots of people enjoy playing around with Fin, but please just focus on the little kiddies, not the adults.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
