Orbit Baby Introduces Panniers: More Storage For the Hottest Stroller Around!

A favorite for its sturdy, stylish strollers, Orbit is introducing another practical item into its repertoire — panniers. In December, the company plans to roll out black and mocha stroller panniers ($120 per pair), inspired by chic French bicycle bags.

The panniers — which hold eight pounds of gear each (roughly a standard paper grocery bag worth of stuff) — clamp onto the side of Orbit strollers, and even come with a Rain Fly to cover your goods during inclement weather. When it’s time to pack away the stroller in the car, the Panniers simply fold down with the entire unit, and include carrying handles to make positioning and removing them a breeze.

Orbit Panniers work with any Orbit seat docked on the Stroller — the Infant Car Seat, Bassinet (to use it as a pram), the Toddler Stroller Seat (for a complete stroller), or the Toddler Car Seat.

surely this is going to make the stroller twice as wide? Hardly a good idea if you are planning on going around the shops.

Great idea, I could _really_ use these. Except: I live in a big city, and these things do not look like they’ll be great for crowded big city sidewalks, subway turnstiles or buses.
