Actor Ryan Phillippe and his son Deacon Reese, 5, walk hand in hand through Beverly Hills after leaving Deacon’s karate lesson on Thursday. By the looks of their matching facial expressions, it seems like they’re thinking the same thing!

Ryan also has a daugher, Ava Elizabeth, 9, from his marriage to actress Reese Witherspoon, which ended in last year. Reese recently told PARADE that she and Ryan make a conscious effort to parent their children together, despite their divorce.

Why do you keep publishing photos like this of people who have made it very clear that they don’t want to be photographed in this way? Could you see how uncomfortable they feel? Can’t you be a bit more respectful?

I don’t really like when the paparazzi follow the kids to their activities (school, sports, etc.). I remember when the Beckhams lived in Madrid they were photographed at school all the time and that just felt so awkward.

deacon is adorable just like his dad! reese just did an interview about keeping the kids away from the public eye, it’s great that she’s trying though.

This is one of my favorite families…I love how protective Reece and Ryan are of their children and how maturely they’ve handled their divorce. And I also love seeing children drinking out of a safe Sigg (or Klean Kanteen) bottles like the one Ryan is carrying!
