Usher Expecting Second Son, Reveals Due Date

Update: During an interview on Stevie Wonder’s morning radio show, Usher confirmed that the couple are expecting their second son and revealed that Tameka’s due date is December 15th.

Originally posted on November 20th: For R&B singer Usher and his wife Tameka Foster, the upcoming holidays will be extra-special this year with the arrival of their second child in December. "One of the best Christmas gifts there is to have," says Usher in a new interview with Access Hollywood. Eager to welcome a sibling for his son — Usher Raymond V, turning 1-year-old next week– the 30-year-old singer and Tameka have found out the sex of the baby, but have chosen to keep the news to themselves. Usher explains their decision saying, "some things have to remain personal." However, he is willing to divulge a bit of information! "I’ll give you a clue — it’s a baby," jokes Usher.

Unwilling to confirm whether they will be welcoming their second son together — despite a possible slip-up during his appearance on the Today show — or their first daughter, Usher does admit that while "there are a few names" the couple have decided on, they are open to any suggestions from the public!

"If you guys have any unique [names], please feel free to hit me up. Let me know."

I hope for Tameka’s sake it’s a girl, because she already has four sons (Cinco plus three other sons from previous relationships).

I’m not in any way trying to imply that she’d be dissapointed with a 5th boy. All I’m saying is that, after 4 boys, I’m sure she’d like a little girl!

I bet its another boy, but I think it would be great if him/his wife do have a girl. Maybe next time around if the new baby is a boy.

Fatherhood seems to suit him, and going against the rumors, I hope/it seems everything is going fine between his wife/family life.

sometimes i don’t understand Usher. I believe he said he really believed in privacy and hated that anyone even knew about his son but then put him on a the cover of a magazine. Now he says that the sex is private and some things should stay private, then admits it’s a boy a couple of days later.

As for Usher’s flip-flop, maybe he just wanted to let out the news on his own time, rather than when some reporter thought he should. Or maybe Tameka didn’t want the baby’s gender and due date revealed, but then changed her mind.
