Vroom! Seventeen-month-old Ella Sofia Gordon points to racer dad Jeff Gordon and his #24 Dupont Chevrolet while hanging out in the pit with mom Ingrid Vandebosch on Sunday. The pair were at the Sprint Cup Series Championship at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida for the weekend.

She is precious! Probably one of the sweetest moments with her was during last week’s opening ceremony. During the National Anthem, the camera panned to Jeff and Ingrid. Jeff was holding Ella and they both had their hands over their hearts so Ella “copied” them and put her hand over her own heart too. Adorable!! Then the planes must have caught her attention, b/c she darted her eyes up to the sky and was pointing. Jeff and Ingrid were trying so hard to not laugh. They are such an adorable family.

Not only did Ella have her little hand over her heart durning the National Anthem at the race, this week durning the prayer Jeff was showing Ella that she had to be quite by placing his finger over her lips. What great training for a little one. Adults could learn from the Gordon family.

I have been a Jeff Gordon fan since my previous favorite, Richard Petty, retired in 1992 and I have never regretted it. Win or lose, Jeff is a true champion and a remarkable young man. I consider him and his family like a member of my own. In fact, as a grandma to 16 beautiful children, I thinkr little Ella Sofia is just as beautiful and precious as any one of them. Jeff,Ingrid and their daughter radiate not only their outside beauty but their beauty from within. May God Bless them always.

I have been a Jeff Gordan fan since he started. Davey Allison was my fravorite but he was killed when Jeff came in. Sophia is so cute. She looks just like dad. They are a great family. I can’t wait to see them next year. I hope they have a great holiday season. See you next year.

Not only was Ella adorable at the race with her hand over her heart at an earlier race, Ingrid was holding her and she copied Mom and Dad bowing her head during the invocation. She raised her eyes slightly to look at Jeff and then quicky looked back down again. She is so adorable! I wish they’d show her a lot more during the pre-race. She just loves sitting in Daddy’s car, too!!
