Haylo- I believe it was actually Brad who made the comment about the Carol’s Daughter hair products. That said, I completely agree with you! Going by that comment that Brad made about the hair products, it sounds like the J-Ps HAVE studied up about African American hair.

Also, Angie said in an interview last year (I don’t remember when exactly, but I do remember that it wasn’t that long after they’d adopted Pax) that, at the time, whenever they tried to style Z’s hair with barretts, ribbons, hair pins, etc., she just took it all out in five minutes flat!

If Zee is still like that (and I have a feeling she might be, as she seems like a very feisty little thing!), that would definetly explain the un-styled hair! Oh, and “thin” is definently not a word I’d use to describe Zahara’s hair! If you compare her and Shiloh, for example, it is actually Shi who has the thinner hair!

People are really ignorant when it comes to black people choosing to wear their hair naturally. My niece wears her hair much the same as Z’s. It’s often left out to curl as it will. She has the exact same hair texture as well. After a bath we moisturize it, brush it, dry it and let her go. Black kids shouldn’t be held to some hair standard just because people think it looks better. Angelina has said in the past that she uses Carol’s Daughter products on Z, those are really good for natural hair.

Anyway, on to Savannah. I wonder if she is a mommy’s girl and less independent than Eden? I often see her alone with Marcia or she’s the one being held by Marcia. My nephews are fraternal twins and one of them is much more clingy to mommy than the other is.

The difference between Savannah’s hair and Zahara’s hair is that with Savannah’s hair you can just run a brush through it after her bath or whatever…totally different texture and care requirement from Zahara’s hair…

brooklyn, i am definitely not one of those people who has criticized angelina not doing zahara’s hair, but i think the comments result from the fact that zahara’s hair doesn’t always look healthy.

african hair requires special care because it dries out so easily. the critics seem to be concerned that her short/thin hair seems to be the result of improper hair care. BUT that is not to say that anyone thinks those kids aren’t loved and cared for in general. this is just one of things that requires special attention and know-how on brad and angelina’s part.

meanwhile, i didn’t even realize that savannah’s hair was so curly! marcia should leave it down more often. it’s a cute look for “savvy.”

I have always wondered on this site, why people are so quick to judge Angelina on how she does not ‘do’ Zahara’s hair, but are so quick to point out how cute the ‘wild curls look’ are on other celeb kids????
