Actor Daniel Goddard never thought that at 37, he’d be attending the premiere of the TinkerBell DVD release, but there he was with his pregnant wife Rachel and their 2 ½-year-old son Ford Martin on October 18th. Even though Daniel "knew TinkerBell from Peter Pan," he "had no idea what [the film] was going to be about." But it turns out he found it "was cute" and enjoyable, despite the fact that Ford fell asleep during the screening of the film! It’s a good thing that Daniel liked the movie, because with another baby on the way, he is destined to be watching kids’ films for many years to come.
Daniel shared that the couple’s second child — a son — is due to arrive on December 22nd and that life "will be like when I grew up in Australia: Rachel’s going to be the one, solo female figure. Well, she does have Morris the cockatoo, who was supposed to be a boy, but turned out to be a girl, so she has backup." While Rachel prepares to be the only female in the house, the couple is also trying their hardest to help get Ford ready for the new arrival. "We made sure he understood from the very beginning that he’s part of this," Daniel shared. "I don’t want the baby to come out and have him be competitive. This way, he’s involved." One thing that Ford won’t have to help with is changing diapers when the new baby arrives; that job is left up to Daniel.
"In Australia, the fastest sheep-shearer is called ‘the gun’; I’m the gun with the diapers. I’m so fast, and I can even do it standing up, while Ford’s walking away."
Daniel can currently be seen on the daytime serial The Young and The Restless.
