Learning Tower Art Easel: For Your Aspiring Picasso

11/14/2008 at 07:00 AM ET

My son was having a boring day. His words, not mine. Until he remembered his new Little Partners Learning Tower Art Easel ($69.99) in our kitchen. Fast forward an hour… he’s still standing at it drawing mazes and marble runs, bugs and flowers and having just as much fun erasing them all.

Available in all the colors of the Learning Tower itself, the Art Easel hooks onto a side of the Learning Tower (or hangs on the wall if you don’t have a Learning Tower — and really, why don’t you?) and takes up very little extra space. There is a chalkboard side and a white dry-erase board side. There’s also a tray to hold your child’s paints, chalks and markers. They’ve thought of everything — there’s even a long magnet included so that you can attach a piece of paper to the Art Easel for aspiring sketch artists and painters.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the Learning Tower Art Easel changed my life. The boy who rarely entertains himself has suddenly found a new pastime. And his mama couldn’t be happier.

This I love that this toy mixes play and learning! It’s great that there are so many things a child can do to entertain themselves…freeing up a little time for mom :)

I’m always on the lookout for modern baby gear – thanks for the great find!

Mom Said It

"It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant. So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision."
