Only 2 ½-weeks-old, it seems that baby Archibald ‘Archie’ William Emerson has inherited his comical parents’ — Will Arnett, 38, and Amy Poehler, 37 — love for a smile. However, according to first-time dad Will, his son is "loving being a baby right now," and is still indecisive about cracking his first gummy grin for his proud parents. "He’s thinking about smiling. He’s trying to decide if he’s ready or not," Will explains. While he loves experiencing the joy of fatherhood as his son becomes aware of his surroundings, Will is not too keen on the late-night diaper changes. Calling the midnight meetings "very dramatic," Will "finds that to be a very sad process."
It is obvious that Will and Amy aren’t the only ones who feel Archie will soon be making people laugh alongside his parents. Saturday Night Live costar Bill Hader — who calls Amy "an amazing mom" — has no doubt that the newest SNL baby, because of his "hilarious parents," has a bright future ahead of him. "That kid is going to be the funniest. We’re going to have Archie Arnett being saluted here in about 30 years," Bill told PEOPLE during an event at the American Museum of Moving Images.
As Archie continues to impress his parents with his toothless almost-smile, Will jokes that his son has yet to make any advancements in speech.
"Noises? Not out of the top part. There are a lot of other noises."
