Adam Sandler Welcomes Second Daughter, Sunny Madeline

It’s baby girl #2 for Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie! Daughter Sunny Madeline Sandler arrived on Sunday, November 2nd in California, the actor posts on his website. Calling his latest addition "beautiful," Adam writes that "everyone is happy and healthy." Sunny joins 2 ½-year-old sister Sadie Madison at home.

Adam announced the pregnancy on The Tonight Show in May, sharing that Sadie had been the one to tell him the news — by handing him a positive pregnancy test! In September, Adam revealed that the baby would be a second daughter, or "little chickadee," as he referred to her.

Adam, 42, and Jackie, 34, wed in June 2003.

I doubt that will really be a problem. They can always open it if need be to find out which one it’s for. My sister and I had the same initials and we never had any problems. In fact, I loved that we had the same initials. I looked up to my big sister and loved that we had that in common. Of course now that she is married we no longer have the same initials!

As for Sunny Madeline. I agree it is kinda cute… but I don’t know if I really like it for a child’s name. But she isn’t mine so it doesn’t really matter, haha.

I wonder if they are pronouncing it ‘made-lynn’ or ‘made-line’?

I recently heard that the traditional pronunciation of Madeline is ‘made-lyn’, but I only know of one family that spelled their daughter’s name Madeline and then pronounced it Madelyn. In my experience it’s more common for Madeline to be pronounced like the children’s books/movies… “They left the house at half past nine in two straight lines in rain or shine. The smallest one was Madeline.”

I love the name Sunny, it’s also the name of Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea’s daughter. I also love Sadie, they are actually both on my list of future baby names in the event of the arrival of another daughter. I’m not sure I’m massively keen on the alliteration between the sisters or the ‘SS’ with the Christian and surnames, but they are lovely names. I have a real soft spot for Sadie, so I can’t wait to see the new little one. Congrats to the Sandlers!

I had the same initials as my younger sister and also the same middle name. It was a nightmare as we kept opening each others private mail.(and also my mom would open my younger sisters mail which would turn out to be mine)

I have the same initials as my mother and my two sisters….well at least until I found out in my early 20s that my middle name was never registered in my birth record.
