Mick Hucknall Enjoying Daughter's Childhood

Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall admits that he had "no idea what I was letting myself in for" when he and girlfriend Gabriella Wesberry welcomed daughter Romy True 16 months ago. However, Mick wouldn’t change his new life for the world. He shares in an interview in The Sunday Mail that the couple refuses to hire a nanny, knowing he’s "lucky to be at the stage in my career where I’m able to spend time at home" and "experience seeing her grow and change." Even though the 48-year-old’s manager "was saying, ‘Yeah, give it a few months and you’ll be ready to get out on the road again’," Mick has learned "it’s not true" and that he’s "really been enjoying it."

Mick actually will hit the road again when he joins Simply Red for a farewell tour in early 2009.
