Gina, I took the “adding to the brood” comments more lightheartedly than that…I think she was semi-joking with the interviewer about it.

well jennie has been divorced before, so it is understandable that she doesn’t want to do it again. i hope things continue to go well for them in the future-they have a lovely family. ps.peter-let her have another baby.ur part is over pretty quick LOL. who knows, u might get a boy this time!

I have a different approach to this. Begging her husband for a fourth child (if he doesn’t want another) is not healthy for a marriage.

Can I ask, why must there be an assumption that Jennie Garth is talking about ‘beautiful women’ her husband may or may not be tempted by? Perhaps she meant beautiful people to whom she might also be attracted! But, as she said, she’s not taking the easy option and would rather focus on her marriage.

I agree…IMO people are overthinking her comments. She has a right to her opinion — and I think it’s fantastic that she’s so committed to her marriage…that divorce isn’t an option for her. I remember when she was on Dancing with the Stars and her husband and oldest daughter were right there night after night. Good for them for having a solid marriage.

With respect to Jennie, I don’t think anyone goes into a marriage thinking, “oh well, we can always get divorced.” To most couples, divorce isn’t an option until it is literally the last option. I say this as a happily married newlywed, but as a child of divorce whose parents tried everything to keep it together. I understand her point and I don’t think she said it to be rude, but for those of us who have gone through a divorce in some way it comes off as slightly insensitive.

I think most people are over analyzing her comments.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have talked about this same topic, that it’s okay for them to look but not touch, and that the word “divorce” is not an option. And you don’t see anyone speculating Will and Jada separating. They are obviously a very happy, and functioning family.

I respect her view that she would rather work hard at her marriage than just quit, which a lot of people do. In my own family, my parents got a divorce. My dad cheated multiple times while my mother tried with all her might to keep us together, I would have really wanted them to divorce sooner than the 5 years later it took. A bad marriage is really hard on children so if by any bad luck that it may happen to her, I hope she takes the opinions of her children in account.

I think a lot of people here aren’t realizing that divorce IS the easy way out for a lot of celebrities. Hollywood is littered with people that get married quick then get divorced even quicker. While “regular” people might work at a marriage…a lot of celebrities don’t and just divorce like it’s no big deal. I think that’s what Jenny is referring to.
