Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Enjoys a Winnie the Pooh-Themed Shower

With a whimsical Winnie the Pooh theme, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz celebrated a baby shower with family and celebrity friends, including sister Jessica Simpson and pal Nicole Richie, who brought 9-month-old daughter Harlow."She was glowing and insanely happy," says a source. Proud-dad-to-be Pete Wentz, 28, even stopped by the Saturday shower at the Hotel Bel Air. "He was so excited too!"

The guests, who also included Simpson-Wentz’s mother Tina and actress Emmy Rossum, dined on home-style food in keeping with the Simpson family’s Southern roots: chicken and mashed potatoes.Simpson-Wentz, 24, received numerous presents including gift bags from Kitson Kids and a mini Burton snowboard outfit and matching gear.

Ashlee and Pete expect their first child by the end of the month.

She had a late baby shower!! Both of mine were 2 months before my due date. I’m so excited about this baby!! I check the site like 10 times a day to see if she had their little one yet!

Am I imagining things or did Pete once say they would go with Winnie The Pooh theme for a boy and Alice In Wonderland for a girl once? I feel like he did. I could be imagining it though haha.

Rye: Ashlee and Petes wedding was Alice and Wonderland Themed, but he never said if it was a boy it would be whinnie the pooh and if it is a girl Alice in Wonderland. I think she is going to have her baby within the week and I cant wait to hear the name!

Bianca- How do you know she was due on October 27? As far as I know, all we know is that her due date is immenient.

Other than that, the only place any specific due date has been mentioned is in the tabs, and we all know that they need to be taken with a grain of salt (or, in some cases, an entire salt shaker!).

At any rate, I’m guessing her due date was NOT Halloween as many people suspected. I doubt her baby shower would have been scheduled for AFTER her due date!

They are having a boy, but the name is TOP SECRET. They wont tell anyone, not even family they say. I met Ashlee a few months back, she is soo excited. I am really happy for both of them. They are going to be amazing parents. I can’t wait to find out the name though!
