Jada Pinkett Smith Looks Forward to Promotional Tours

As a producer, director, actress, and mom, alone time for Jada Pinkett Smith is often quite uncommon; however, along with each job comes press, something that Jada actually looks forward to. "I make sure I get jobs so that I can go away and have an excuse to be alone," shares Jada. Although the 37-year-old jokes that this time her 8-year-old daughter Willow Camille Reign is along for the trip and is "just messing up my whole flow," Jada says that her family is "tight-knit" and "will do whatever we need to do to make it work."
Calling her children — Willow and Jaden Christopher Syre, 10 — "very easy children," Jada laughs that on the set of her newest movie and directorial debut, Human Contract, her husband Will Smith, 40, was almost too eager to get in on the action. With Will as executive producer of the film, Jada admits that working with your husband can be intimidating. "It’s sometimes a challenge for us…because when you have a husband who knows a lot — sometimes you have to say, ‘You’ve got to let me do this so I can figure it out.’" Despite husband and wife collaborating on the film together, the actress laughs that, ultimately, this was her project!
"Oh no, this was my set. He definitely would come in and try [to take charge] and sometimes I would ask him. Will does whatever he can to support me."
Human Contract is in theaters December 5th.
