Felicity Huffman Says Daughters Are Like 'Chalk and Cheese'

During a Friday appearance on The Rachael Ray Show, Felicity Huffman said that although her two daughters "are not angels" — they’re "great" nonetheless. Second grader Sofia Grace, 8, and first grader Georgia Grace, 6, "are sort of like chalk and cheese, to use an English phrase," said the 45-year-old Desperate Housewives actress. "They’re very different, but complimentary," she explains.
"They fight, and they also have a great time [together], and if they’re away from each other for two or three hours, they miss the other one."
Because there is no instruction manual for child rearing, Felicity says that hers is "like any other household."
"We’re sort of stumbling along, figuring it out as it goes. You sort of need a practice family, where you make all your mistakes, like your first thing of pancakes. You throw them out and then start again."
Sofia and Georgia are Felicity’s children with husband William H. Macy, whom she married in 1997.
