Jones/Symons/Pacific Coast News

Jamie Lynn Spears pushes 4-month-old daughter Maddie Briann while leaving the Edgewood Mall in McComb, Mississippi with mom Lynne Spears on Wednesday. The trio then went to an appointment at Maddie’s pediatrician’s.

The 17-year-old actress recently said that motherhood leaves her feeling "blessed."

"It is a whole new life, but it is a better life than I could ever askfor. Every day, waking up with a reason to go and do something. It issomething to live for and to work for. It is that reason every day, right here in my hands."

great quote by her – refreshing to hear. there’s a silver lining to everything.

Totally random comment, but for our daughter we also have a Graco travel system although it’s pink and gray. Anyway, I always seem to run into the things with the back wheels of the stroller or have more trouble getting them through tight spaces. I never realized just how much wider the back wheels were until seeing this picture of the stroller head on lol. Now I don’t feel as stupid or so bad about bumping into things here and there :)

Where’s the baby? That stroller looks mighty empty to me…

- Cate on

This is a nice article, but where’s the baby?!? There’s no baby in that stroller…

- Seana Taylor on

The baby is in the infant seat which is in the stroller facing Jamie Lynn.

Jamie-Lynn looks great. Great comment by her. I have alot of respect for her.

I really don’t think Jamie-Lynn would push around an empty stroller!! Duh…..The baby is too little for the front facing part of the stroller so the car seat just snaps in. Maddie is still tiny enough so she can remain in the car seat in the stroller. These strollers are quite common in fact.

Cate– Maddie is in the infant seat which snaps onto the stroller so you can’t see her. I have that same stroller but mine is pink with flowers.

ITA, Heather – I have the Graco travel system in Clara and it is difficult to get it through tight spaces. My daughter is 5 months old and loves to sit in the stroller so she can look out.

Cute picture – can’t wait to see more pics of Maddie.

Her baby is not that tiny. I saw pictures recently and she is what I would call overweight. She is little too chubby for such a young age

How refreshing is it to see someone famous use the same baby stroller over and over again? Much better than seeing other celebs who seem to have a new stroller everytime they step out of the house

Thanks for posting about the difficulties of the stroller? We were SO close to buying that one in a blue/brown pattern and now I’m glad we didn’t. We went with another Graco instead, though since the baby still has a few months to go we haven’t tried it out yet.

I’m so glad that Jamie-Lynn has the sense to keep her daughter in the mom-facing part of the stroller until she’s big enough. I once saw someone pushing a baby in the front-facing seat, and the kid looked like it was ready to fall out – a newborn, couldn’t even hold its head up!

The stroller might be a little hard to get through tight spaces, but on the other side it is very stable and sturdy. And good for anyone who is somewhat tall. Pretty for a girl.

Molly most of us when we were children would be put in umbrella strollers at 8 weeks old! We looked very uncomfortable but hey we survived!!

- JM on

I’ve never seen an 8 week old in an umbrella stroller. In the old days babies would be prams and not in car seats all the the time. Sometimes it seems like babies nowadays are in their carseat most of the day.

- Sarita on

I read somewhere that it isn’t good to leave the child sitting in the car seat all of the time. The baby stroller that she has has a full recline, and the baby could be laying in the seat of the stroller not sitting in the car seat. We did this with my nieces when we were we would go on road trips and she had already spent three hours in her car seat, because we didn’t want her to be cramped. We started this when she was three months old. She loved not being in her car seat. It is also nice to see a fresh quote.

How sad that paparazzi follow her out there, now that she is not actively seeking spotlight anymore.

- Kate on

Sarita nowadays you don’t see babies in them because strollers are more advanced. I never had a pram I was born in the 80′s but I do have pictures of me in an umbrella stroller at a very very young age all squished up like a ball! It’s what alot of folks could afford back then so that’s what they used – either that or they carried us. And yeah babies do spend alot of time in those infant seats. Funny how far we’ve come with safety. My mom jokes that if they keep upping the weight limit on carseats that I’m going to have to start sitting in one again!

Is jamie lynn expecting again?

Jamie Lynn looks so good for a mother. I hope I can look as good as her when I become a mother. I’m from the south, too, so I hope I can be a proud southern mama like her:)
