Kim Porter Wants Kids to 'Live In Truth'

Kim Porter‘s decision last summer to end her relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs mere months after the couple welcomed identical twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, now 22 months, was almost certainly difficult — but it’s one she says she had to make. "I don’t know if it necessarily comes down to a final straw," the 35-year-old former model tells Baby Couture in its Ultimate Fashion Issue. "It was just time to make a change for myself." That she followed her heart is something reflected in the values she says she’d most like to instill in the girls: "God and family first, always have respect for yourself and others, and live in truth." As for Diddy, there appear to be no hard feelings between the two. Kim raves,

"He is a very loving and supportive father, and totally hands-on!"

Together, Sean and Kim are also parents to Christian, 10; In addition, Sean is dad to son Justin, 14, and daughter Chance, 2, from previous relationships while Kim has a son Quincy, 17, also from a previous relationship.

I don’t think he and Kim were ever married. But he certainly was not faithful, he was with JLO soon after Christian was born and then also fathered this new baby. It’s got to hurt your pride as a woman.

Kim Porter and Sean Combs were never married. Sean’s daughter Chance is with a woman named Sarah down in Atlanta. Chance is five months older than the twins and Sean was still in a relationship with her while Chance was conceived.

I really don’t see how Kim is saying that she wants her kids to live in truth when she explicity stated in an Essence Magazine shortly after the twins’ birth that her son Christian “didn’t need to know about that other one” and that he already has two sisters, Jesse and D’Lila. How is that truth?

I also want to add, I have seen several pics of Chance and she is the spitting image of Jesse and D’Lila. In fact, the three of them could be identical triplets. It’s scary.

They are so adorable. I bet they are fun. I’ve also seen pictures of Chance and she does look a lot like her sisters, but with more hair. Diddy has some strong genes.

While Kim is a beautiful woman and seems like a great Mom she isn’t really leading by example when it comes to “the truth”. While I applaud her for finally leaving Diddy, looking the other way while he cheated is not a good example for your kids.

I think that Kim is a beautiful person who just finally realized love was not what she expected it to be after so long. We all are human and because of that we are allowed to make mistakes. Outsiders looking in are always first to give their two sense!

I think it takes a lot as a woman and a MOTHER especially to admit to yourself and others as well that the love you have for a man and the father of your kids doesn’t have that same love for you. I think she’s probably a great mom and doing what she has to do in order to ensure the safety and well being of her kids.

At such a young age, she can’t tell her kids everything because they will certainly have questions that she may not have the “right” answer to. I can’t imagine being in this situation and having to explain that my child(ren) has another sister by a different mommy. It’s our motherly instinct to protect them from those types of things and slowly explain life’s hurdles and obstacles to them…in a way that they can understand it.

Living in truth has only one meaning but it has many different routes that lead to it. Just because she isn’t taking it the way some people think she should doesn’t mean she won’t get there.

The truth is that you need to make good decisions so that your children, especially your daughters realize they are worth more than settling for a partial relationship! I hope you find someone who loves and accepts your children and you whole heartedly. Please try not to have any more kids until you’re married! #2-Diddy has a 2 year old with a chick he was seeing o the side. She was pregnant BEFORE Kim, and how funny she gave him his FIRST daughter.

All I have to say is KARMA. When she was pregnant with those twins she was trying to diss JLO. Saying stuff like what kind of mother can a latina chick be to black children. She made it sound as though she was Puffy’s one and only!Now look just weeks after all that drama popped off it came out that he got Sarah Cahpman preggers. Humility Kim teach that to your daughters as well honey.
