With everyone staying cozy in hats, the Watts-Schreiber family was spotted out for a walk in NYC on Thursday. Naomi, 40 — currently pregnant with baby #2 — pushed the empty stroller as 15-month-old son Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete hitched a ride with dad Liev, 41, instead.
The newest addition to the family is due this winter.

Personally I think the amount of winter clothing they are wearing is a little excessive. It looks like its been in the 50s this week in NYC. That’s hardly heavy sweater and parka weather. Then again, I live in Alaska so 50s is time to bust out the shorts and flip flops.

In addition to the low temperatures, it is also quite windy in NYC (thus making it even colder). So even though it might be 51 degrees out, the wind might make it feel about 5-10 degrees colder.

It looks like he has on a scarf and a fall weight wind breaker. Also, children are not shy about letting you know if something is upsetting them. And if you have never lived in NYC – sometimes the tall buildings act like crazy cold wind tunnels. No, not Alaska cold 
, but cold enough, I assure you.

Sasha is a gorgeous baby. Is it safe for such a young baby to ride on his father’s shoulders? I see that Liev is holding Sasha’s ankles, but nothing would stop the baby from lurching backward. He is not old enough to understand that he needs to balance himself by holding onto his dad.

It’s interesting how we’ve seen Liev carrying Sasha a lot more as Naomi has gotten more pregnant.

Alison, I think that also might be because Liev has finished filming “Wolverine” in Australia. We finally see him and Naomi a bit more together during daytime. Before, when he was still filming, we only saw mainly pics of Naomi with Sasha along. It seems he had his schedule a bit around baby no.2 so he could be around more during the end of the pregnancy.
Absolutely love the picture and he is such a gorgeous man!
