Liv Tyler is Milo's 'Princess'

Bauer Griffin

Though he may only be 3 ½ years old, Liv Tyler‘s son, Milo William, knows how to pour on the compliments. "He’s at that age now where he’s so sweet and so loving and says thesweetest things to me," the actress, 31, tells PEOPLE. "He likes to call me his princess. He says, ‘Oh, mommy, you’re so cute. You’re my precious, precious mommy.’"

Though her son is full of sweet sentiments, Liv says she receives the usual mom treatment, as well. "Of course Istill get karate chops and all those sorts of things too."

The actress, who split from husband Royston Langdon in the spring, says Milo is all-too-willing to spread the word on her single status — somewhat embarrassingly. "One day he went on a play date, and he said to this other child who was playing with a Hulk toy, ‘My mommy loves the Hulk.’"

I don’t think there’s a sweeter compliment Milo could give her. I’ve always liked Liv and am sure she’s a wonderful mother. I hope she’s able to have more kids in the future.
